    Some podcasts offer multiple subscription options. Please always use the link that is closest to the episodes.

Mir ist es bisher nicht gelungen, in wxBasic unter Windows die volle UTF-8 Funktionalität herzustellen. Wenn Windows wie bei mir trotz gesetztem locale bei Verzeichnis- oder Dateinamen z.B. unter Verwendung von wxDir, wxFileCtrl oder ähnliches nur einen leeren String zurückgibt sobald ein Unichar Charakter (z.B. ein Emoji) im Namen ist, dann kann folgendes von der Microsoft Seite helfen:

Von GDI wird das Festlegen der Eigenschaft ActiveCodePage pro Prozess derzeit nicht unterstützt. Stattdessen legt GDI standardmäßig die aktive Systemcodepage fest. Wenn Sie Ihre App so zu konfigurieren möchten, dass UTF-8-Text über GDI gerendert wird, gehen Sie zu Windows Einstellungen>Zeit und Sprache>Sprache und Region>Administrative Sprachoptionen>Gebietsschema ändern und markieren Sie Beta: Unicode UTF-8 für die Unterstützung weltweiter Sprachen verwenden. Starten Sie den PC dann neu, damit die Änderung wirksam wird.

Jetzt ist UTF-8 in Windows standardmäßig festgelegt und die Namen werden korrekt angezeigt.

So, ich habe mich einmal dran gesetzt und die aktuelle Linux Variante installiert. Ich benutze Linux Mint.
Leider ging es nicht so reibungslos wie gedacht. Abhängigkeiten wurden nicht erfüllt.

Ich musste folgende nicht mehr aktuelle Bibliotheken manuell installieren, bevor ich wxb installieren konnte:

Danach konnte ich wxb unter Linux benutzen.
Leider musste ich schnell feststellen, dies dies nicht die aktuelle Version ist, das heißt sie stimmt nicht mit der Windows Version überein. Wxb zeigt mit das Release Datum 2018. Das ist für die Kompatibilität von Code leider nicht gut. Ich habe es jetzt erst einmal darauf beruhen lassen und nicht weiter damit gearbeitet.

Wie es aussieht, bleibe ich im Moment wohl bei Windows hängen. Leider.
Es wäre schön, wenn Ralf die Linuxversion aktualisieren. würde

Im neuen Setup ist nunmehr die libssl-1_1-x64.dll von OpenSSL vorhanden.
Leider kann ich in den beigelegten Source Dateien nicht erkennen, wie die Handhabung erfolgt. Möglicherweise ist sie nur für Datenbanken gedacht. Schade. Dies wäre ein guter Ersatz für externe Programme wie wget oder curl.

hier eine angepasste Referenzdatei für die aktuelle Version von wxBasic.
Die Datei ersetzt die vorhandene Referenzdatei unter Resource/Lexer.

Hallo Leute, nach langem hin und her ist nun das Update auf 2.1.4 installiert. Leider läuft es noch nicht ganz rund. Nun kann man endlich wieder Beiträge einstellen.
